TEOCO to provide multi-year managed service for planning, optimization and customer experience management to Tier 1 regional operator

FAIRFAX, VA., USA – 5 January 2016 – TEOCO, the leading provider of engineering, assurance and analytics solutions to communications service providers (CSPs) worldwide, today announced that Omantel, the largest telecommunication services provider in Oman, has chosen TEOCO to provide multiyear managed services that cover radio access network (RAN) planning and optimization, including customer experience management.

Omantel, a pre-existing TEOCO customer, has chosen to extend its relationship with TEOCO as its multi-vendor tools are capable of optimizing network performance without increasing additional CAPEX investment.  TEOCO will provide Omantel with a managed service that incorporates its suite of vendor independent solutions. This includes combining Geolocation, the INsync Customer Experience platform and autonomous drive testing to deliver improved customer Quality of Service. TEOCO will also use its complete RAN and Service Assurance solutions suite to plan and optimize Omantel’s GSM, 3G and 4G network infrastructures

“TEOCO is a long-term partner for Omantel and the logical choice for our mobile network planning and optimization needs,” said Samy Ahmed Al Ghassany, COO of Omantel. “We’re confident that TEOCO’s independent approach and its market-leading, multi-vendor tools will provide the best possible results in terms of network performance, capital overheads, and the network quality of service experienced by our subscribers.”

“Mobile operators in the Middle East and North African region are increasingly looking towards independent third party providers like TEOCO to manage their network planning and optimization requirements,” said Andrew Miceli, Vice President of Sales for the Middle East at TEOCO. “In doing so, operators can avoid the potential conflicts of interest that can arise when infrastructure vendors also control the optimization and planning of their network.”

“This new network planning and optimization deal extends our working relationship with Omantel in a new and exciting way,” said Atul Jain, CEO at TEOCO. “This agreement represents the second major tier one network that TEOCO manages in the Middle East and Gulf region. It also underscores TEOCO’s value to operators as an independent and objective provider of network services and solutions.”
