Technology Expert Engineer

This person will be responsible for gathering all requirements and updates from customer for NR, LTE, UMTS and GSM technologies and interpret them to facilitate Dev team for new developments as well as upgrades and enhancements of our configuration management product SmartCM.  Previous experience with Ericsson, ZTE, and Huawei will be a big plus.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be a subject matter expert in Ericsson, Nokia, and ZTE equipment specifically with an understanding of the various parameters used in the OSS, their configuration and impact to the Network.
• Gathering all requirements and updates from customer for NR, LTE, UMTS and GSM technologies in the form of OEM’s Release Document and interpret them to facilitate Dev team for new developments as well as upgrades and enhancements of our configuration management product SmartCM.
• Perform gap analysis for new SW release with respect to previous releases in Huawei, Ericsson and ZTE OSSs.
• Guide internal users and customers to the best process to implement parameters changes in the OSS.
• Analyze parsers and vendor documents for all the MOs and parameters available and relevant to customers.
• Create new Telecom Libraries (TL) which include Definition TL, Map TL and Link TL based on Vendor Doc for new interfaces.
• Update Telecom Libraries for existing interfaces when MOs and parameters are included and also when they are dropped from the SW release.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

• BS/MS degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• 2+ years of SQL, PL/SQL experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience working on maintenance, upgrade and creation of telecom vendor interface for configuration management tools.
• The candidate should have Transcription generation experience.
• The candidate should be able to generate instruction not following instructions.
• Familiarity with telecom engineering concepts for various wireless technologies including GSM, UMTS, LTE, NR.
• Experience on Ericsson, Huawei, ZTE OSS specifically with an understanding of the various network parameters, their configuration and impact to the Network.
• Strong experience in managing configuration parameters from the OSS and detailed knowledge on the process to implement changes and create transcripts.
• Experience configuration management and new site integration.
• 3+ years working on maintenance, upgrade and creation of telecom vendor interface for configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with planning tools such as Planet is a plus but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving business problems and to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Intellectually curious, reliable, and flexible team player.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
