TEOCO earns top spot for Engineering Systems in new Service Fulfilment Systems report

FAIRFAX, VA., USA – 3 November 2015 – TEOCO, the leading provider of engineering, assurance and analytics solutions to communications service providers (CSPs) worldwide, today announced that TMT research and consulting firm Analysys Mason has ranked the company No.1 among vendors in the “Engineering Systems” category of its new report,  “Service Fulfilment Systems: Worldwide Market Shares 2014”.

The “Engineering Systems” category covers network planning, optimization and asset management services and solutions. TEOCO earned the top spot based on its revenue during the 2013-14 period. According to the report, in 2014, TEOCO generated more revenue and grew its market share the most, ahead of rival vendors including Amdocs, Ericsson, Pitney Bowes, GE Smallworld and Forsk.

In its analysis of vendors in the service fulfilment space, Analysys Mason said that TEOCO “is well placed to compete with the larger vendors on this specialist area of network fulfilment and brought interesting new products to market in 2014, including interactive heat maps for capacity planning and small-cell network optimization. Its analytics business will be a strong asset as the provisioning process moves towards full automation and real-time fulfilment becomes essential to maximize the benefits of hybrid virtual/legacy networks.”

“TEOCO’s market leading position in Engineering Systems reflects the success of its extensive network planning and optimization solution set, built by some very cohesive acquisitions and integrated effectively to form a leading portfolio,” said Dean Ramsay, Senior Analyst in Analysys Mason’s Telecoms Software research team and co-author of the report.

TEOCO’s range of mobile network planning and optimization solutions combine conventional network engineering, planning and operational data with important financial and subscriber data – including service usage, quality of service, billing, and revenue – to optimize operators’ networks according to their profitability.  Its solutions enable operators to improve performance and quality of service for subscribers, as well as monetize their network assets more effectively.

Commenting on the report, TEOCO Chairman and CEO Atul Jain said, “We’re delighted that Analysys Mason has ranked us No.1 vendor for engineering systems in its latest report. TEOCO solutions stand out for improving the technical performance of our customers’ networks to deliver a better quality of service to subscribers in a way that also optimizes operators’ opex investment. At a time when operators’ revenues continue to be near-static and their operating margins are under constant pressure, network planning and optimization is a strategic priority to improve technical performance and boost operators’ bottom lines as well.”
